What it is

The room where recruiting gets funded.

Most TA leaders are measured on delivery and judged on influence. This is two days on the second one: how to build a quarterly business review that a VP acts on, and how to turn recruiting data into an argument rather than a report.

Live virtual, run across two days so it fits around a working week. Same format as the in-person labs: short fire-starter sessions, then small-group work on your own numbers. You leave with a QBR deck built from your real data.

Produced by John Vlastelica.

John Vlastelica, CEO of Recruiting Toolbox, has been hired to train TA leaders at companies like Nike, Slack, Disney, LinkedIn and Adobe, and has been rated a #1 speaker at most of our industry’s events. John and his team are bringing you this #willnotsuck TA leadership event.

Agenda

Build the review, then win the room.

The agenda is built around the three moments where TA leaders lose executive support: the review nobody reads, the metric nobody trusts, and the plan nobody funded. You will work on all three with your own numbers.

Build and run a strategic, forward-looking QBR

A structure your VP-level execs will actually read, that looks forward rather than reporting backwards. You draft yours on the day.

Use insights and metrics to diagnose and influence

Getting from a dashboard to a diagnosis, and from a diagnosis to a decision. How to frame the numbers so they win buy-in rather than invite questions.

Build a recruiting plan that balances quality, speed and scale

Making the trade-offs explicit so the business chooses them with you, instead of expecting all three and blaming recruiting when it does not happen.

Teams who changed how they hire.

Register interest

This event is for a specific room.

It’s for corporate directors or VPs of Talent Acquisition who present to an executive team, in an org with a 30+ person TA team. You should own TA strategy for a function or a geography and be accountable for its results.

It’s not for TA managers who report into TA directors, and no consultants, vendors, contractors, RPO or search firms will be permitted to register.

FAQs

The questions Heads of TA ask us before they commit. If yours is not here, ask us directly.

Corporate directors and VPs of Talent Acquisition from organisations of roughly 2,000 people or more, with TA teams of 30 or more. Everyone in the room leads managers and owns strategy for a function or a geography.
Because the value is the room. We keep it to senior in-house TA leaders so the conversation stays candid, and we decline consultants, vendors, contractors, RPO and search firms.
No. There are no sponsor booths, no sales pitches and no keynote-and-leave format. It is fire-starter talks followed by small-group work sprints, and you leave with drafted work rather than notes.
Workbooks with the frameworks and guides used on the day, and the drafts you build in the sprints. Most people leave with something they can put in front of their exec team the following week.
Only if they meet the same bar. The session is pitched at people who own TA strategy, and it does not land the same way for managers who report into a TA director.
